EPS assists the Arthur R. Marshall Foundation with its annual Student Photography Project

On Saturday, Lance Warley with studentOctober 18 and Saturday, October 25, 2008, the Arthur R. Marshall Foundation conducted its annual Student Photography Project at the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. EPS was actively involved in the project, with several EPS members leading student groups through photographic assignments while teaching them basic techniques. Many photos were taken. Cameras were provided by the Foundation.Jake Paredes assembling a poster Many students also brought cameras of their own. On the 18th, photos were printed from each of the student groups and pasted onto poster boards. On the 25th, activity at the Refuge was heightened by the annual Cypress Harvest, which created even more photo ops for the students as volunteers harvested seeds from the trees. Free saplings were distributed. This was a thoroughly enjoyable event for everyone. Hopefully, some seeds of a different kind were planted, seeds that will germinate into a lifelong love of photography and of nature within the students.Students with cameras
